Who We Are

Saint Salvator Lutheran Church is a congregation of almost 200 members.  The average age of a member is 35 years old.  The Divine Service is held each Sunday except for the last Sunday of the month when the congregation chants the Office of Matins.  We have a vital Sunday School and Junior Confirmation program.  We are associated with Immanuel Lutheran School of Okawville, Illinois and Christ Our Rock Lutheran High School of Centralia, Illinois.  We have a historic pipe organ that dates back to the 1860’s.  We also have a church choir that is capably conducted by our music director.  Each year the choir performs a cantata during the month of December.  On Father’s Day each year the congregation holds a chicken dinner, and each year in October apple pies are sold.
